Course Description Details:
The Intro to DJ course is a course teaching the skills listed below. Students will receive knowledge and experience using modern professional industry standard DJ equipment, equipment purchasing advice, and a Certificate of Achievement. Kinetik will provide the tools to complete the Intro to DJing course. A certificate is awarded to students who show proficient skills and pass a live DJing performance. Students will walk away with an original recorded mix and live DJing performance footage. The outcome of taking the Intro to DJing course is for students to create their own mix.
The mix is a thirty (30) minute (minimum) recording of a student’s beat mixing. The Mix and video can also be included as part of the DJ’s portfolio as a marketing tool to get bookings. The purpose of the final performance/mix is to assess students’ learning of the material covered during the certificate program.
There will be a live performance opportunity for students to showcase their learned and improved DJing skills live and in front of our instructors and also upcoming events. Students will receive constructive feedback after their sixty (30) minute (minimum) performance. Smooth execution of Learned Skills are needed to pass the DJing performance.
Curriculum Cost: The course is $175 for five sessions minimum.
This cost is to be paid in half or full before the first day of class. No refunds are offered once the student has committed to completing the course. In the case that there is an emergency that pro- hibits the student from attending the session, the session must be rescheduled. additional time or alone practice can be scheduled for $35 an hour.
